You do not need to know how to derive ay equations. On the test you will be given a formula sheet that will include the de Broglie equation.

Don't let the unknown compound freak you out! First just write out a balanced reaction - H2A + 2XOH -> 2H2O + X2A. In a lab setting, chemist typically try to achieve a a yield of 90% of higher. This is primarily because in an actual experiment, there is often more than one reaction, so if the yield of the first reaction is low, the yield will get lower with each consecutive reaction.
