Part b for this problem is asking for the electron configuration for Cu+, I put down [Ar]3d^8,4s^2 but the answer is [Ar]3d^10. So, even though the 4s orbital comes first on the period table, is it not filled first? Does that go from all other orbitals as well?

I was confused for a bit too because sometimes the book automatically jumps from m to nm too but the number will say #x10^-7 and not 10^-9. However, this is probably because the spectrum we typically see nm in are in the hundreds. For example 7.0x10^-7 = 700 nm and on the other hand, 7.0x10^-9 m is ...

In the exercise, it is asked that you balance two stages of a reaction. I have balanced the first stage, but I am confused on what to use as my reactants for the second stage... Do I include the stoichiometric coefficient from the first balanced equation?
