When to use Equilibrium arrow vs. reaction arrow [ENDORSED]
I noticed that in the textbook, they used a reaction arrow (---->) when there was a weak acid involved. I thought that weak acids and bases aren't completely disassociated in water. Wouldn't you need to use the equilibrium arrows in this case?

Why is it that some people determine the central atom based off the atomic radii and not the ionization energy? Aren't there exceptions for carbon and oxygen for the ionization energy?

HW Problem 4.15c
The structure is COF2 and the name is trigonal planar. Why is it that the Oxygen gets the double bond, but one of the Fluorine's does't get it? I thought that the most electronegative element will get the double bond? And oxygen is less electronegative than fluorine.

The formula basically explains that new hybrid orbitals are made of old atomic oribtials like s px, py, pz, etc. For example the sp^2 hybrid orbitals are made of one s orbital and two p orbitals (px and py orbitals) Does this refer to the formation of sigma and pi bonds? Yes. You have to take the molar mass of each compound and then determine how much percent Carbon makes up in each compound.

For Fundamental L problem 7 why do you have to use 454g of fat for part b. I understand why it is used in part A but i dont think it makes sense to use it while doing stoichiometry for part b.
