Change in temp is just represented by delta T, and you can use the equation q = mc delta T to solve this problem!

There's a 14CL but you may not have to take it depending on your major. Med and dental schools do require it though, and people usually take this during 14D or after 14C/D.

For salts, they usually have a spectator ion like Na+,or K+, and an anion which is the conjugate base of the acid. As for why non-neutral salts combine with water, it's usually because the negative atom (i.e. Na in NaCl) is attracted to the negative atom (O-).

It's simply just due to the fact that there is a bigger difference between 1000 and .001, and it would be easier to tell apart whether the reactants or products are in a higher concentration than say, 0.9 vs 1.1.

I got the same problem with one of the Sapling problems for this week, I just kind of looked at which number seemed the most feasible and also just plugged it back into the quadratic equation to double check!

This is due to the fact that when Q is less than K there are more reactants present which would automatically make the forward reaction (--->) more favorable!
