Use c/v for something with no mass, like a photon or electromagnetic waves. Use h/mv for problems involving mass, such as a proton.

When a question asks you to find the number of formula units, you use avogadro's number and solve the problem the same way you would if it had asked for the number of atoms, so are formula units and atoms basically the same?

The significant figures for the given value in the original question determine the number of significant figures that you should have in your answer, however hold off on rounding until the very end to be more accurate.
