Speed of light [ENDORSED]

If in the book the speed of light is equal to 3.0 * 10^8 m*s^-1 however it was brought up to use 2.997*10^8 m*s^-1. Which is the correct one and does it make a difference?

I believe it is assumed we have some knowledge of it from high school chemistry since it's a fundamental, but I'm sure that doesn't apply to every student.

Not every time. It may be appealing to assume the smallest number is the limiting reactant but that is not always the case. For example let's say you've gotten to the part where you figure out the quantities of both. Lat's say you get 1mol of O2 and 0.25 mol of C3H8. One would assume that O2 is the ...
