Re: Strong or weak acids/ bases
Strong acids produce more protons in a solution than a weak acid, such as Hal, or HBr. Also, weak acids are incompletely ionized in a solution.
Strong bases are completely ionized in water, such as Li2O or NaOH. Also, weak bases are not completely ionized in water

Re: Delocalization in Resonance Structures
Yes - when resonance occurs, delocalization will appear. Therefore, there will be resonance in every delocalizand electron.

amphoteric compounds pH
Will amphoteric compounds have different pH’s, depending on if it's an acid or a base? Or will the pH stay the same, like H20?

Re: Conjugate seesaw
The conjugate seesaw is…
(1) when there is a stronger acid, the conjugate base will be weaker.
(2) when there is a stronger base, the conjugate acid will be weaker.

Re: Electron affinity of Carbon vs Nitrogen
Carbon has a higher electron affinity than nitrogen because its p-subshell only filled 2px & 2py, with one electron in each orbital. Nitrogen has a filled 2px, 2py, & 2pz, with one electron in each orbital, therefore making an electron want to fill Carbon’s unfilled orbital (2pz). Also, an e...
