If im reading your question right, then i believe that their electronegativities are subject to change if they lose or gain an e. if they gain an e, it's easy for them to lose and if they lose an e than they are more likely to gain an e. Therefore their electronegativities change

The way that i remember this the easiest is by having electronegativity being at its lowest on the bottom left and the highest at the top right of the periodic table.

It is the amount of photons emitted in the experiment and it can be useful to know the work function or the Excess Energy emitted!

Work function can be given in Joules or as eV, however from the information given in the question we can find the work function. Work function is just the amount energy required to separate an electron from the metal.

I think that we need to know the values that correspond to the Atomic spectrum so that we can Identify how different wavelengths result in different position on the spectrum like the series that you mention your question. So I think that we do need to memorize it.

I think that best thing to do is to just follow the periodic table, that way you can't be wrong. Also it save time while performing in the exams.

Actually both can be used at the same time, the main thing is understand what each variable means, after understanding that you'll be able to see the relationships that are crossed over from both equations. to convert you would need to multiply by Avogadro's number, because as you multiply you will cancel "mol" and be left with number of atoms for that mol.
