Polar molecules can bond with each other via dipole-dipole interactions, which are generally stronger than van der Waals forces.

Covalent bonds are the bonds between the atoms within the same water molecule. Hydrogen bonds are the bonds between two water molecules.

Hydrogen bonding is the third type of van der Waals' forces. It is exactly the same as dipole-dipole interaction, it just gets a special name.

Sigma bonds form bonding orbitals between the nucleus of the bonding atoms, greater overlap and strong sigma bond. Pi is a covalent bond between orbitals perpendicular to the bond direction.
