There are so many good food spots in Westwood! If you're looking for super casual places to go to, some staple restaurants are Cava, Ami, Tocaya, and In n Out. Also cant forget about Diddy Riese.

Re: DeltaU and Q Relationship at Constant Volume

delta u equals q at constant volume because the energy of the system is now dependent on changes in heat since the volume isn't changing. Also, since there is no work being done, w = 0 and you can omit it from deltaU = q + w, thus leaving deltaU = q.

Heat capacity cant be negative since it is the amount of heat you need to raise the temperature of a substance, and if heat capacity was negative you wouldnt be able to actually raise them temperature.

Re: Ka correlation to strength of an acid

The larger the Ka, the stronger the acid. This is because the larger the Ka, the more it dissociates and the more H3O+ will form. A larger Ka will result in a lower pKa though so lower pKa=stronger acid and larger Ka= stronger acid.

Hi! K changes when you add heat to a reaction because the equilibrium constant changes. More reactants will be produced, so reactants would be favored. K will increase as the temperature increases in endothermic reactions, and it will decrease when temperature increases in an exothermic reaction.
