When I read this on the syllabus, I interpreted it as: if you get a 50% to less than 70%, it will be treated as if you got a C-. Because of this, I think 250 points does mean that you are guaranteed a C-, but I may have interpreted incorrectly. I also thought that getting 250 points meant a C-. But...

A TA told me that it would be similar to the set up from midterm 1 and 2. So 8 questions total. 4 questions may be from either midterm 1 or 2, and the other 4 will be new material. But each question will have multiple parts. But I'm not sure how accurate this is. By "both midterms" you're...

During today's review session someone asked if the final was more focused on topics covered after the midterm and I believe the answer was basically that topics would be given equal importance.

I got full credit on this question by using single bonds, so Ti has 8 electrons and each Chlorine has an octet!

I think it was mentioned by the TA's/Lavelle to draw the lewis structure with the least resonance. I'm not sure for VSEPR, but it's probably a good idea to keep drawing the most stable structure so that you don't forget to do so for a lewis structure during the final and such. I suggest watching the video module on this topic! I believe it was mentioned that the wavelength could be detected up to the negative 12 or 15 power, but I'm not exactly sure if an exact value was said.

You can tell how many valence electrons there are by checking on the vertical line the element is on. For example, Hydrogen has 1 valence electron and Oxygen has 6. I believe amount of orbitals is referring to how many ml values there are. During Friday's review session, it was stated that ml can be calculated using ml=2l+1. So being given or knowing the l value, you can find ml. I think the number ml gives is the number of orbitals.

I believe my T.A mentioned the average score being 25 for his sections. A previous post mentions that their T.A had an average of 22, so it might be similar.

I believe I remember it being mentioned in lecture by Lavelle that we didn't have to know by the first exam, but I am not sure exactly by when we should be comfortable with them.

I believe you add up all the weights of the elements. For example, in H20, you would multiply the weight of Hydrogen times two and add the weight of oxygen. I just noticed someone used H20 as an example previously, but this applies for other examples.
