Hybridization of orbitals is usually greatly favored as this phenomena has lower energy compared to their separate counterparts. Since molecules and compounds form with the goal of attaining the lowest energy state of the interacting elements, it makes since that such an event occurs.

I don't believe you mean that it has a stronger bond but rather that it has the greater chance of dipole interactions or Van Der Waals forces between the atoms due to the extra charge of the atom. This can make a stronger interaction between the atoms or molecules of the compound.

Memorization of the electronegativity chart is not the most useful way to know the electronegativities. I would recommend remembering the basic trends and possible exception by knowing the number of valence electrons of each atom at ground state due to their electron configurations.

The 3-d molecular geometry of compounds has not been discussed in detail yet. I would just focus on the linearity of the compound at this point when observing interactions or Van Der Waals forces between compounds.

you should remember the trends but also keep in mind how not every element follows these trends perfectly as the organization of the periodic table does not perfectly account for all of the features of these elements.

there is no specific order needed when filling in the dots representing the outer unshared valence electrons of an element within a molecule or compound. the number of electrons per element is much more important that the order in which they are drawn in so just remember the octet rule and Hund's ru...

You can also observe the electronegativity trends of the periodic table with those elements that have the highest attraction for electrons being in the top right corner of the table and those elements that are the most likely to lose electrons within a bond being in the bottom left corner.

you definitely needed to convert the value as it cannot be used in equations unless it is written in the standard SI units of meters for distance or length measurements and seconds for time measurements
