The textbook explains black body as the "hot object" and basically means that it is an object that is extremely hot (so hot it glows white) because it doesn't favor one wavelength over another, in the sense of choosing a wavelength to absorb or emit.

I understand the law of conservation of mass how matter is neither created nor destroyed. But If you were to dissolve a solution in a substance and boil the substance, would that effect the weight of the substance? Or would it depend on the chemistry of the substance?

I've seen different forms of the word moles used in the text, homework, and lecture slides and confused as to which term to use when, if it matters. Does it matter which spelling of the word I use (other than adding the "s" for plural).
