You can also derive the Vant Hoff equation from the delta G standard equations on the constants and formulas sheet if that helps

Re: Equation

I thought for that equation that A ends up getting canceled out during the derivation and that's why it isn't present

I was very confused by this answer as well, is the consensus just that it was a solutions manual error?

6th edition 15.29

The solutions manual stats that the equation should be set up as ln(.015/.005). I'm confused as to why that is the order rather than (.005/.015). Would someone mind pointing me in the right direction

Re: Post All Chemistry Jokes Here

In a sports relay race, a chemical kinetics specialist runs slowly, and his group loses the race.

When the chemical kinetics specialist is asked why he ran slowly, his reply was “I always wanted to be the significant rate determining step”.

I know that posting on chemistry community accounts for 30 points of our grade, but I am a little confused as to the specifics. Do we need to make 3 posts a week to get 3 points a week? Do we just need to make 30 posts over the course of the quarter? Does any post/reply count for points?

6th edition, 11.23

the question used values of 500.0, 0.031, 0.495, 0.145 but the answer in the solutions manual gave the answer as 1.4.

I just wanted to make sure I brushed up on my sig figs but shouldn't the answer have 3 sig figs instead of two?
