Moving down a group there is an increase in the number of valence shells = higher shielding effect. This means that the valence e-s feel a weaker pull from the nucleus and can easily dissociate = stronger acid

The bond lengths are still the same probably because of resonance. All bond lengths are the same even though they are single or double because resonances are hybrids

FC = group # - (bonds + nonbinding e-)
work the same as the one presented in lecture? This formula makes more sense to me and seems to result in all the same results.
