h is Planck's constant in the unit Joules*Seconds
v is in the unit per second

If we take h*v, then the units are $(joules*s)\frac{1}{s}$
We can see the s or seconds cancel, leaving us with the unit joules that E is in

In the solution manual, it shows that $\frac{(2.5*10^-3 mol Na^+)(1molNa_{2}CO_{2})}{(.07967mol*L^-1)(2molNa^+)}$ but I don't understand why the term $1molNa_{2}CO_{2}$ is in the numerator and why $2molNa^+$ is in the denominator.

I'm wondering why the number of moles is twice the amount in part (a) based on the amount of Cl moles.

I believe "formula units" refers to the amount of atoms that are in the 5.15g sample of the compound.
