You look at the number of orbitals in a given subshell and then multiply it by 2 since there are 2 electrons in each orbital
(so if l=2, there are 5 orbitals, meaning 10 electrons)

Since you are given diameter (2x10^-4 m) and you are trying to find velocity, you just have to figure out what the mass of oxygen is since it's asking for uncertainty of velocity of the oxygen molecule. Since oxygen is diatomic, it's O2, so when you find the mass it would be 32 g/mol x 1/6.022x10^23...

On my third test in this class one of the questions was to order the anions I-, Cl-, S2-, and P3- from least to most polarizable. I was wondering why Cl- is the least polarizable even though it has a -1 charge?

Removing the first electron is easier since the pull isn't as strong but the second one is always harder since there is a pull on the electrons that are left so it's harder for them to be removed

r is the distance from nucleus, theta is the angle from the positive z-axis (the "north pole", kind of like latitude), and phi is the angle about the z-axis (like longitude)

I'm not sure if "m" is used for molarity, but I think M refers to molarity (molar concentration), and "m" is used to denote the units for meters and I guess "m" can also be used to symbolize mass??
