oh you still do subtract, you should have 1.04961466x10^-2 mol H+ and 5.24x10^-3 mol OH-, u subtract so you are left with 5.2497 x10^-3mol H+. Then you divide by 1L to get molarity (same number) then -log[H+], you should get a pH of 2.28

for number 34 you have to find the limiting reagent of the acid and base essentially. CaO dissociates to Ca2+ and O2-, and think of O2- + H2O -> 2OH- . So 1 mol CaO is equal to 2 mol OH-, maybe that's your error?

yea boiling points are a characteristic of IMFs, stronger bonds mean a higher boiling point because they want to stick together more, so it's less likely to go from liquid to gas

I think you can do any problems up to 2e/ 2f, but homework is ultimately to help you so it's probably fine to do problems that might not be on the outline, but will help you learn the material

I would say formal charges are more important at period 3 and on, as they can use the d-block for electrons. You have to test it because some lewis structures are more stable than others and the formal charge shows this stability in number terms. There are also resonance structures, but they are all the same in terms of formal charge and stability.

I am pretty sure the formulas and constants are on a formula sheet in the front like the first test, so you should focus on being able to solve the questions. However, you should also be comfortable with all the numbers and understand all the equations and what the constants are.

I am pretty sure it is miniscule enough to count as 100%, so the calculation shouldn't change much. However, if it doesn't add up you should look at the reaction and see what could be lost, like oxygen in oxygen gas.
