You can whether the anions and cations will form bond with H atom or OH- in the water. For example, when Na2CO3 becomes Na+ and (CO3)2- in water, some of the (CO3)2- will form bond with H atom from water and become (HCO3)-, producing OH-. Thus, the solution should have a pH > 7.

I think we are just learning some specific VSEPR structures now. Maybe we can imagine the VSEPR structures of other molecules by drawing out their Lewis Structures and positioning the bondings and lone pairs as far apart as possible while being stable.

I don't know other trends except ionization energy needed for Lewis structure. But as for ionization energy, it can help us determine the central atom, which tends to have lower IE.

I have a question about rounding my answer. The result I get without any rounding in the calculation process is 753W. But the answer on the book is 750. I don't understand why this difference happens. Should I round 753 to 750?

I prefer to understand it this way: when forming covalent bonds, atoms tend to share e- so that they have 8 e- (2 s-election and 6 p-electron) in their outmost shell. so for us, we just try to make all the atoms in a covalent bond formation as close to the 8-electron state as possible.

The actual yield is the weight you actually measured in the lab (which will be given to us in tests since we can't measure it by ourselves". and the theoretical yield is what you calculate to be the weight of the products.
