You only do it for solids, as solids cannot physically be mixed together.

The more positive a standard reduction potential, the better it is at being an oxidizing agent. The more negative a standard reduction potential, the better it is at being a reducing agent.

We add in Pt on the ends of a cell diagram when there are no solid metals on either side of the cell diagrams.

To understand this, use the equation Delta G= -n f e. So, when e is positive, the equation will still be negative. Thus, Delta G will be negative and spontaneous.

I believe it is less accurate to use averages from different molecules, because you use the average of multiple different molecules. Whereas in bond enthalpies for diatomic molecules, they are each measured for those specific molecules (not an average).

Correct, you can only calculate K when you have the molar equilibrium constants. If you just have the initial molarities, you can find Q.
