If the constant C does not include a certain unit, should we still include it?
For example, the equation for ∆S = nCln(t2/t1). if we are given grams, but the c value given does not include grams in the units, should we still include the mass in the final answer?

Why does a greater Ecell value a better option? Wouldn't a higher Ecell value mean that the cell has a greater ability to reduce something, thus causing the cell to become more positive?

When determining which equation is the anode or the cathode, do you look at the highest positive E number and keep that as the anode? I remember Dr. Lavelle mentioning this in class, but is it because you want a higher Ecell?

On the constant sheet there are two equations:
E=Eº - RT/nF(lnQ) and E=Eº - 0.05916/n(logQ)

What is the difference between the two? In what situations would i use these equations, or does it not matter?

How do you know when to use Cp vs Cv?

For example, I am doing a problem where the helium balloon increases from 3.0L to 3.5L and the helium behaves as an ideal gas. Why would you use Cv when solving for the problem instead of Cp when volume is not constant?

if oxidizing power means that the species itself is being reduced, then will you order the powers based from least to greatest positivity or greatest to least positivity? Wouldn't a greater negativity mean it is stronger?

how do you solve 5a on worksheet number 9?
I know the second order equation is 1/[A]=kt+1/[A]0. If I were to use this equation, wouldn't I just plug the values given into the equation?
The answer that i got was 7.14x10^-11, which is different from the answer. pls help thxxxx

for number 6 of karen's 8th worksheet (kinetics pt 1),

why does k not depend on the order of the reaction? wouldn't the reaction order depend on the value of K?
If there is a higher order then wouldn't the k value be higher?

The solutions manual converted the values from mmol to mole. Why do we have to do that when it is not specified?
