For the cell diagram, I don't think that when using an inert solids you have to put it on both sides. I think that as long as its include on the right side of the cathode then it implies that it is included everywhere. But that's only for inert solids.

There is a difference in the conversion formula that is used for both. I think its a difference in the R constant that is used for the formula PV=nRT.

ICE tables can be used for both, but I think there are specific cases in which if you are supposed to be solving for partial pressure, or given the units atm, then you might have to use the formula PV=nRT to convert to pressure.

I don't think there is a difference. Some of the names in the book are slightly different because the IUPAC Name Convention recently changed some of the names. However if you check the coordination compound list on Lavelle's website, it will show you which ones are the same.

Is the answer automatically wrong if lone pairs are not separated from the shared pairs of electrons? for instance, if something has 3 shared pairs of electrons and 2 lone pairs, can it only be written as AX3E2 or can you write it as AX5?

Score for homework 1 should be given out when the homework is passed back on the day that your discussion takes test one. However, I'm not sure when our grades are updated online.
