I think this may be due to you using log instead of ln? On the equations sheet for the nearest equation they use ln. Which should we use?

Hello! When I plug in the same formulas and do all the same steps, I get a couple numbers off. For example, for 1d I got -75740.725. Is this a rounding issue or is something off in my settings. I don't think I rounded anything until the end.
Further for 1c I got .169V instead of .157V

Can someone explain why we switch AgBr -> Ag + Br- instead of Ag-> Ag+? I get that you could say that because the standard cell potential of the first is less positive, you would switch that one however the original reaction. Is that why?

While it is possible to have a negative pH or a pH that is above 14, for the purpose of this class, we are only considering phs of 0-14.

I don't believe you switch the x values. Instead, if q>k then the reaction sits to the left. All that means is that the reaction favors the reactants. I believe you get a negative value only for the c potion of the ice table usually for the reactants because that is what you have first. Then in the ...

another thing to note is that cis and trans usually are isomers meaning they have different properties. For example, one isomer can be polar while another can be non polar.

A simpler way to look at it is that the N is surrounded by three of the same atom. Therefore, because they are the same atom with the same electronegativity the dipole moments will cancel. Something to note is that this molecule will cancel because this molecule is not one planar, each angle is 120 ...

It could be because the two lone pairs effect the molecule equally. Therefore, the molecule will stay linear.

I got part of the question right, my lewis structure showed that there are 2 pi bonds and 2 sigma bonds, but it says that there is also 1 pi bond and 2 sigma bonds.
