In a galvanic cell when the anode deteriorates and the cathode gains metal, where does the metal being added to the cathode come from? Ex: if the anode is silver and the cathode is gold, does silver form on the outside of the gold cathode or does more gold form on the outside of the gold cathode?

Closed is like a test tube with a cap on it, so solution can be heated or lose heat.
Isolated is behind thick walls like a bomb calorimeter or thermos so no outside interaction can occur.

x is very small so it is basically zero for the denominator (0.0000000000000000001), but we leave x alone in the numerator cause having 0 up top would make the whole thing=0.

They will need to give you a delta H, so it it is positive, reaction is endothermic, but if it is negative, it is exothermic.

Equilibrium constants are ratios and you cannot just delete the numerator, it needs a place holder.

In online module #2, Dr. Lavelle represents the ICE box change without x terms but just by the concentration. In module 3, he uses x as a variable for the change amount. Should we always use variables from this point on? Are there times we would not be able to use variables?

Bronstead vs Lewis is really the same concept, the difference is the level of detail each gives, with Lewis focusing on the electrons, and Bronstead focusing on the general shift.

In simpler terms: 2 Cl on one side can form 2 bonds; 2 Cl on opposite side can only form 1 bond. 1 bond is easier to break than 2, so the cisplatin bond is harder to break.

The electron domain shape is needed for bond angles but only the molecular shape is specifically asked for on a test for example.
