Re: Rusty on High School Chem [ENDORSED]
I am also pretty rusty on chemistry and need additional resources to catch up to the speed that this chem class is going. One of the resources that I thought was also pretty helpful are the bar charts and periodic table packets that you can purchase from the bruin store. They give definitions and sm...

Re: E-Book
I think once you purchase sapling it will have the digital textbook on there. I also have a pdf version of the textbook so if you would like to access the textbook that way, please feel free to reach out to me through the groupme created.

Re: E.7 calculate atoms in moles
1 mole is the number of atoms in 12 grams of carbon 12, which equals 6.022 * 10^23 (Avogadro constant). Specifically for this question, I think that it could be solved by dividing the number of carbon atoms by Avogadro constant, according to the definition of 1 mole. This was very helpful. Thank yo...

Re: Fundamentals E Question E.1
This homework problem reads: E.1 The field of nanotechnology offers some intriguing possibili- ties, such as the creation of fibers one atom wide. Suppose you were able to string together 1.00 mol Ag atoms, each of radius 144 pm, into one of these fibers by encapsulating them in carbon nanotubes. H...

Re: Next Week's Test
Hi! Just to make sure, our first test next week will be on the fundamentals only right? Or is it going to include everything we cover in lecture till the test day including the quantum stuff? Yes, our first test will only be on the fundamentals not the quantum section. To add on to that, just to co...

Re: Advice from a Medical Student - Part II [ENDORSED]
You have inspired me immensely! I know this is a bit unrelated to Chemistry and its topics, but how was the transition when it came to applying to medical school? what were some of the big necessities that made applying to medical school make you stand out?
