It depends on the shape and how many bonding sites they have available. for this question, you can check if the atoms have lone pairs.

part c) is 6 because there are 6 ligands = 6 attachments sites. There are 2 Cl atoms and 2 bidentate ligands. 2 bidentate ligands means that there are 4 attachment sites in total (2x2 = 4) so in total there are 2+4 = 6 attachments sites part d) is also 6 because hexadentate means there are 6 binding...

Those are exceptions of anions not being able to act as acids. HSO4- and H2PO4- are deprotonated forms of H2SO4 and H3PO4 and can act as extremely weak acids.

The hybridization goes to 2p as well because it takes less energy to go to 2p rather than double up with another electron in the 2sp^2 orbitals. This also checks out with the molecular shape!
