some d orbitals get filled before the p orbitals. I recommend looking up an electron configuration chart for filling orbitals on google. It is really helpful.

anions gain an electron, so that can add an n, which makes the radius larger. Cations lose an electron, so that can take away an n, making the radius smaller

the textbook can scare me, but it's best to break it down. Don't read too much in one sitting and take notes on things that scare you. If you really don't understand a concept, try looking at videos on Youtube!

You just need to make sure the answer you give to the problem has the correct amount of sig figs. So just follow the sig fig rules. Your answer should have the same amount of sig figs as the number in the question with the least amount of sig figs.
