I don't think there will be tons of naming, but we don't know what he's gonna throw at us so unfortunately the only way to be really prepared for anything is to memorize the entire worksheet he emailed us

If the reactant is e- deficient, then its a lewis acid, and if it has extra, then its a lewis base :)

I believe a salt is a strong conjugate base fs the original acid and it is a strong conjugate acid if the original base is weak

SO2 would have the higher boiling point because S has more electrons making it have higher attractive forces making the dipole-dipole interactions stronger in SO2 than in O3

The d orbital can account for the extra electrons which is why elements from period 3 and beyond can have an expanded octet

Remove them from the 4s orbital before the 3D orbital unless it is an exception of the rule such as Cr where the electron configuration is odd, but usually you always take it out of 4s first.

When empty, the 3D orbitals energy is higher than 4s but when it fills, the energy lowers hence why you put 3D before 4s

Shorter bonds are stronger. Single bonds are the longest and weakest whereas triple bonds are the shortest and strongest.

When I went to a review session, the TA said that all the elements in the same group as oxygen follow the same exception as oxygen but it is just not as pronounced.

Most of the time they will give the actual yield in the problem. If it is not given, then they probably will not ask for you to calculate the precent yield unless other information is given.

Personally, I just do 15.999 but in my discussion my TA just rounded to 16 so I think it should be fine.

114 and 114. have the same number of sig figs but adding the "." does seem a little redundant so I'd say stick with 114. But 114.0 is not the same as 114 because it has 4 sig figs.
