The geometry of a molecule determines its hybridization. A molecule with 3 bonded atoms and one lone pair has tetrahedral geometry since it has 4 regions of electron density. Counting for hybridization

Can I just count the bonds on an atom and determine the hybridization by making sure the exponents of the s and p add up to that number? I feel like that's what I did in high school, don't remember exactly though.

Rydberg's constant is provided, but the eqn isn't. However, I think you can use E(lowercase n) = -hR/n^2 which is on the constants sheet.

The online modules are pretty helpful, especially taking the post-assessment. The videos aren't too in depth about the harder questions but they cover the basics really well which helps.
