The only reason you would add oh is if the solution is basic and you would use it to balance the hydrogens. H20 is used to balance oxygens.

You add them to balance out the hydrogen and oxygen atoms present in the interaction. For basic, you would add OH- and for acidic, you would add H+ ions.

Entropy is q/t and q = -w. In isothermal irreversible expansions, w = nrtln(v2/v1). Put it together and you get (-nrtln(v2/v1)/t)

SO3 with three double bonds is not stable. When you put three double bonds around it, you're giving S 6 bonds with 12 electrons in its outer shell. S does not have a d orbital so we cannot expand its octet.

Because intensity of the light refers to the amount of photons interacting with the metal surface, it should be intensity that determines how many electrons are ejected. That is if the light has the right frequencies and wavelength to even eject the electron in the first place.

When it's empty, the 3d-orbital requires more energy than 4s so it is placed after 4s, but when you start to fill up the 3d-orbital, the energy required to fill it becomes less than it is for the 4s-orbital which is why is 3d and not 4d.

It only works on the H-atom because there is only one electron. Once you start adding other electrons, the entire situation becomes much more complicated.

Cobalt can hold 9 because the electrons are in its d- orbital which can hold 10. s holds two. p holds 6. f holds 14.

I think so because by using the wave function. You can determine the energy, angular momentum, and orbital orientation of the electron.

For the ground state configurations. The electron configuration has to follow Hund’s rule and the Pauli Exclusion Principle.
