I am also not sure which is best to take together. However, I have met people that say they've taken chem14b and chem 14bl together or they have just taken chem14bl by itself.

I don't believe you need to memorize the electronegativity numbers just the electronegativity trend which increases across and up a period.

Did you buy the bundle? I believe if you bought the chemistry bundle in the beginning of the quarter I believe you would be able to access the course. If not, I assume you would have to pay $64 :(

I believe there are two ways you could do this. First, try to drop/add the image into the text box directly and then hit preview in order to see if the image appears in your post. Or you could look below the submit button, and there should be two tabs labeled "Options" and "Attachment...

I believe you could go to TA or Professor Office hours for any questions, comments, or concerns you may have leading up to the midterm. According to the syllabus, there should be many exam review sessions, workshops, peer learning sessions, and step-up sessions every week.

I agree with the previous person. Maybe in the future we will need to know how to write the molecular formula from it's name and vice versa but I don't think it is something to worry about as of right now.

I think for the online version you would need to find the table of contents on the left hand side (underneath the home button) and find the sections that he assigned. For instance look for Focus 1, then you would read Topic 1A Investigating Atoms and all the way at the bottom you would find the home...

I think that the threshold energy has to always be greater than or equal to the rest energy in order for the electrons to be emitted.

I'm not sure if you will be penalized. However, I think it might be good to write the units throughout the whole problem so that your TA will know how you went from say grams to atoms or whatever the problem asks you to do.

I think that if you keep in mind the sig fig rules and how to properly decipher how many sig figs are needed in the final answer, you should be able to come up with the correct number. I believe so. You would write H20 not OH2 because the element with the positive oxidation number comes first or before the element with the negative oxidation number.

You should have gotten an email with a link to access sapling learning. From there you need to create a new user ID if you don't have one already and then once you log in you will be able to see the chem course.
