For Test 2, I received full points for simply writing the sigma and pi signs above or below the bond line. Just remember to put a sigma bond sign around every bond line since every bond contains a sigma bond.

On the periodic table, as you go from left to right the electronegativity increases. And as you go from top to bottom, the electronegativity decreases.

When there is a single bond, there is one sigma bond. When there is a double bond, there is one sigma bond and one pi bond. When there is a triple bond, there is one sigma bond and two pi bonds.

When there is a double bond, the attraction between the two atoms is stronger which pulls them closer together. Triple bonds pull the atoms together even closer because the attraction is stronger than a double bond.

If the ionic bond is in water, then the covalent bond is stronger. If it's out of water, then the ionic bond is stronger.

Since the double bond creates a stronger bond, the attraction pulls the atoms closer together which shortens the length of the bond.

I did this problem last week, and assuming that I'm correct I explained that the "extent of the change" (which is basically slope) decreases since the waves are more spread out. If the frequency were to increase, then the waves would be more squeezed together which creates a greater slope/...

It's best to make sure you understand every/most concepts before moving onto the next. That way, you don't have to go back and start over. I would also recommend doing homework problems after you're finished as a way to quiz yourself.
