Re: Week 5 Homework

Work on chemical bonds homework!! That is what will most likely be covered during discussion so it's best to work on them ahead of time so you'll have questions ready for your TA to help you work on.

The midterm will cover everything we've learned so far (fundamentals and quantum world).

I think it's pretty likely that there won't be any multiple choice questions.

Re: Can We Take The Final In Pencil?

Since Test 1 was already only allowed to be written in pen, it's likely the midterm and final will also need to be in pen.

Re: Pre-Calc and Calculus

Most of the math that will be done is algebraic--isolating variables and rearranging equations. As long as you can do that, you won't have to worry about the math being too difficult!

Re: Tests

Considering that a few SI conversions (like nano) were given on the first exam, I'm not sure if they will also be provided on the midterms, but it's better safe than sorry to try and remember as much as you can!

Re: Tutoring

I've heard from plenty of students already that the Step-Up and Workshops held by Dr. Lavelle's UAs are extremely helpful, and they're free! So make sure to try and take full advantage of that first; I definitely am!

As long as the calculator is not a graphing calculator, any scientific calculator will be fine.

Showing work is best because the TA can follow along every step and give you max points for each step.
