q would be a negative value because it is the cooling system around the chamber. The chamber is releasing heat into the surrounding.

When changing a variable to a delta, you must make sure to change a variable on the other side of the equation to a delta as well; these variables include P, T, or n. R can not be a delta because it is a constant.

They're basically the same thing except a salt bridge connects two beakers connected with a tube filled with gel, allowing the salts to move.A porous disk, however, lets the salts transfer to either side of the disk.

I felt the same. But I recommend watching videos to really instill the material covered in class so that you can apply them to solving problems. I also recommend doing the Sapling problems if you can because it builds you up to solving difficult questions.

Yes you do! you exclude it when it's in a solid or liquid phase because it acts as a solvent and the concentration doesn't change much during a reaction.

I would recommend you watch videos that go over the concepts that will be covered on the midterm. Once you have a better grasp on the topics, it'll be easier to apply them and you'll know which equations to use. Also, if you have the Sapling, I recommend you do the problems because they're questions...

Best way is to memorize the strong acids. But a strong acid completely dissociates in a solution so that's another way to tell a difference.

The midterm and final tend to be more extensive and cumulative so you have to make sure you understand concepts, not just memorize. The tests are good in helping you study for the midterm and final tho.

Basically, when you add a solid to a solvent, like water, it just sits at the bottom (it doesn't dissolve), therefore it has no concentration and doesn't affect the overall equilibrium constant.

It's kinda like the concept of having a liquid or water in the reaction. The concentration of water as a reactant is large and remains constant as a product therefore you don't see it cause a shift in the equilibrium.

guys i really recommend watching videos, esp my visual learners. start problems and try doing them without notes and then watch videos if you're really stuck.

Even though we're only required to submit 5 problems from the book as homework, I recommend doing a few more because the concepts we learn can be applied in different contexts and you want to be prepared for any type of question. Also to help with the anxiety, I chew gum while I take a test, idk why...
