single bonds are longer because there is less attraction to the nuclei, whereas double bonds have a greater pull and thus are pulled closer making them shorter

Normally I try to use the same amount of significant figures as the question in my answer, but sometimes the question has different amounts of significant figures for different values/measurements, so i was just wondering if there's a standard that Lavelle has for sig figs and how many that would be?

Yes for example when converting from 1 angstrom which is 1*10^-10m to mm you would multiply by 10^3 which would give you 10^-7
