I would follow green if they sus, because if I go missing and Green comes back alone, the rest of the crew will know they are the imposter :~)

Re: Midterm 2 Question Count

I’m not sure on the question count, but if it’s the same amount of points, I would say it’s around the same # of questions :) If anything, there might be more questions but worth less points each, or less questions but worth more points each. I think it’ll still be out of 110 points.

I think he said that higher point questions have chances for partial credit but I'm also not completely sure how it works.

Mine doesn't do this but it has been signing me out randomly and pretty often, I don't know maybe Sapling is having issues with everyone on it at the same time lol

Sapling HW #6

Hi guys, can anyone help me with this question? The electron in a hydrogen atom is excited to the n=5 shell and emits electromagnetic radiation when returning to lower energy levels. Determine the number of spectral lines that could appear when this electron returns to the lower energy levels, as we...

A lot of people were saying that using your phone is okay! You just need to connect to Zoom on your phone as well as on your computer.

The Hydrogen has to bond with F N or O, because they are more electronegative than H.

I wouldn't worry about that, like most people said, the answer choices would be very distinct- if there even are any questions on sig figs in the first place :)

I love to light a candle, turn my sky lights on and just watch Netflix in bed. :) It's important to unwind and make time for yourself, especially right now with everything going on! Everyone deserves some me time.

From what I’ve heard they have prepared content for that week/current topic, but I would say going to office hours would be your best bet! Also you can always post your question on the groupme and people usually answer questions fairly quickly :)

There should be a link on CCLE! I already have it downloaded on my laptop from a previous class, and I would just advise you to make sure you have it all set up before the midterm, because you need to have a camera check/microphone check, etc.

I would say going over practice problems from the book would be most beneficial, as well as attending any step-up sessions from here until the midterm. I also think joining/making study groups would help because you can get someone else’s perspective on questions, or teach concepts to others which i...

Re: Names of equations

Hi, personally I don't think it is as helpful to know the names of the equations as it is to know how they work and when to use them. Of course knowing the names is a plus, but I wouldn't worry too much about knowing them off the top of your head, since they'll probably be given to us for the exams....

Re: Sapling Week 1 #8

You would want to first count up all the atoms of each element, in order to get the molecular formula. Once you have this, you can find the molecular mass by looking up the elements on the periodic table. You find each of their atomic masses, then multiply this with how many atoms of the element the...

Re: Balancing equations.

I like to just take a look at the reactant side (left) first, and count the number of atoms in the molecules. Then, I look at the products (right) and make sure the # of atoms is the same. If not, then you can get to balancing. I go ahead and add coefficients onto the molecules that need them, and t...

Re: Fractions

When you balance chemical equations, it is better if there are no fractions as coefficients. You can go ahead and multiply all the other coefficients in the equation by the denominator, to make it a whole number.
