If temperature is increased, the equilibrium moves in the direction of the endothermic reaction. If the temperature is reduced, the equilibrium moves in the direction of the exothermic reaction. I've read that increasing the temperature decreases the value of the equilibrium constant.

Ka represents the acidity constant (or ionization, or dissociation constant) and Kb signifies the basicity constant. A large Ka value means a strong acid; a large Kb value indicates a strong base. Kw=Ka*Kb allows us to solve for one value, when we know the others.

The temperature remains constant during phase changes because the heat energy which is supplied to change the state is used in breaking the intermolecular forces and other attractive forces; so, it remains constant as all the heat is used up and no external heat is released or absorbed.

Yes, endothermic reactions will always have a positive delta H (meaning that it absorbs energy), and exothermic reactions will always have a negative delta H (as it releases energy).

If the equilibrium constant is 1 or nearly 1, it means that the molarities of the reactants and products are about the same. It's simply rare to see that no change is occurring at that point.

Doing all the textbook problems are really helpful. Since the final exam is cumulative, I would start by breaking up the topics by what you're most comfortable with to what you're not as comfortable with. From there, spend time on each topic, as needed.

For one thing, since having to study from home, I have experimented with different studying environments around my house - from changing my location, lighting, chair, etc. By being comfortable with the surrounding area, I am able to study for longer hours.

S orbitals are more closer to the nucleus than p orbitals. The s electron experiences a higher nuclear charge and drops to lower energy; because the p orbital is more farther away from the nucleus, it requires more energy to maintain.

Yes, if the frequency of a wave increases by a certain amount, the wavelength of that same wave decreases by the same amount. Wavelength and frequency have - as others already mentioned - an inversely proportional relationship. This is depicted within the equation c=λv.

Yes, I think that is correct. In terms of what is to be "turned in", the Sapling HW has been pushed back to be due by the end of Week 4, but the chemistry community posts are still due on a weekly basis nonetheless.

The modules, with its pre and post assessments, have been incredibly helpful to better understand the concepts. Being able to be exposed to as many problems as possible I think is the most effective way to study and engrain the lessons. Additionally, I would also agree with the posts above that you ...

Hi, the reactant that is not used up when the reaction is finished is simply called excess reactant or excess reagent.

The order depends on the chemical equation itself. However, I find that by beginning with balancing the element that "occurs the least", it makes the process much more straight-forward.
