I think the order is irrelevant as long as the anode is on the left and the cathode is on the right. Also the solid electrode should be on the outside for each side of the cell diagram. Other than that, I don’t think the order matters that much.

For the overall reaction to zero-order, all of the reactants would be zero-order and the rate law would only depend on k.

Intermediates are not a part of the overall reaction since they are formed in one step and consumed in the next causing them to cancel each other out.

The oxidation numbers are found by solving for them using O and H. So I think knowing only O and H is ok.

Heat is dependent on its pathway which makes it not a state function. In contrast, enthalpy is independent of its path, which makes it a state function. Furthermore, enthalpy, unlike heat, only relies on the initial and final value.

Since catalyst are a part of kinetics, they only affect the rate of the reaction so the equilibrium shouldn’t be affected.

Enzymes are catalyst because they lower the activation energy in the reaction they are a part of. Furthermore, they accelerate the reaction rate.

n is the number of electrons transferred so you balance out the electrons for both of the half-reactions. The electrons in the balanced half-reactions (which the electrons should cancel out in the overall reaction) is the value of n.

While both intermediates and catalyst cancel out, intermediates are made in a reaction by first appearing as a product while catalysts are added into a reaction.

Yes pressure only affect gas reactions. Liquid and solids are incompressible and values are independent of pressure

Yes, UV wavelengths are a range between 100-400 nm while visible light is a range between 400-700nm.

Hi!
I usually use the full molar mass on the periodic table when calculating unless the molar mass was given in the question. If it wasn't given then keep the full molar mass until the end where I finally apply sig. figs. to the answer.

The state of matter doesn't affect balancing equations, but you should still write each elements state of matter. It will especially be helpful later on as we get farther.

As others have said before, there is no set way to balance chemical reactions, but I usually balance the equation from left to right and that works out for me the best.

I think it's better to round at the end rather than in between steps since the answer will be more accurate that way.
