Re: Rouding Range

Does anybody know the rounding range that will get you the correct answer for the midterms? I was told by my TA that the answer choices should be different enough that you should be able to differentiate between them when choosing your solution, but just in practice (as stated above), it's always t...

Re: Writing Reactions

Hi, I think he said in one of his videos that whenever you have a combustion reaction, the products are always CO2 and H2O. So this should help you balance the equation with 4 moles of butane. Here to confirm this! In a combustion reaction, it's always the compound reacting with O2, and CO2 and H2O...

Re: Molar Mass and Molecular Mass Difference?

How would you know which units to use per molar mass and which to use for molecular mass? Is it grams and moles for molar mass but formula units for molecular mass? The molar mass of an element (grams for 1 mol of the atoms of an element) is given via the periodic table. The molecular mass is in am...

Last Question on the Sapling Hw (Week 1)?

Hey all, I was hoping to get help on Question #10 on the Sapling homework. There might be different variations of the question for different students (I'm not sure), but it's the one concerning nucleophilic addition reactions and calculating the theoretical/percent yield for the reaction, in which 0...

I was told that it depends on the digit to the left of it. If the digit to the left of the 5 is even, you don't include the 5 at all, but if the digit to the left of the 5 is odd, you round so that the number is even.

Re: Accessing the E-textbook [ENDORSED]

When you are on the homework problems for sapling, there should be a tab that says resources, and from there you can click on the textbook and look through it. I using the free trial still and this was how I access the textbook. Hope this helps! How did you access sapling if you didn't have the cod...
