I had trouble with this one too. You have to do the multiplying and dividing separately and then put it all together or it will mess you up.

Its not technically a curve but the final grades are based on a class average and it depends on the grades of the whole class at the end

All you do is count the atoms connected and the number of pairs and then add the two together. If you get:
4=sp^3
3=sp^2
2=sp
(If it’s 1 it’s most likely a hydrogen)

After every midterm I always take a nice long nap. I always find my nerves shot and I’m so emotionally and physically exhausted that a nap always helps me wind down from a stressful midterm.

I think a good way to calm down are to practice breathing and to keep yourself from procrastinating. Try to keep yourself on track these last 3 weeks and finish strong.

I think it’s very normal to experience test anxiety. What has helped me is knowing that I’m doing all that I can. I try not to get stuck on the same problem for too long and like to go through the questions and do the ones I know. Then I like to take it a step at a time.

I was having this problem along with my sampling not allowing me to scroll down to see the whole question. All of my problems that were too long would get cut off and I would struggle to see the bottom of the screen.

A trick learned from my high school chem teacher was to use sticky notes on your notes. The main things you want to remember and want to find easily so that it doesn't get lost in the notes

I've been having trouble creating good study habits as well. I've been trying to make a schedule that helps me efficiently learn the topics. I found that practicing examples and working out every step helps me learn it. The routine will help you learn how to solve the equations easily every time.

The sampling problems and the textbook problems all together will help with the midterm. The 1st midterm only covers up to D in the textbook.

A rule with sig figs is that all numbers that aren’t 0 are significant. Along with any zero in between other significant numbers. It would be a good idea to study the rules because this concept is always going to come up.
