I try to remember that the "v" that represents frequency is not actually a v. It is really the Greek letter nu. As such, I draw it differently than a regular "v" by making it more slanted and curly.

Up to which textbook question on The Quantum World outline, should we study for the midterm. In other words, which questions will applicable given that the midterm covers only part of The Quantum World unit. Thanks

The difference is in the units. Simple:

1. molar mass is in grams per mol
2. molecular mass is in amu (atomic mass units)

They are not required grade wise, but doing all the questions has really helped me iron out the kinks and memorize each chemistry concept.
At least read over all the questions and make sure you know how you would approach it if you were to complete it.

For the upcoming midterm, should we be able to derive a molecule's structure from the name alone? In other words, will there be prompt's that don't mention the chemical structure of a compound and we will have to figure it out from nomenclature rules alone?
