I have a slightly different equation for #5 but here is what I did: (and yes, en represents ethylenediamine which will be 2 "spots" of sorts) I find it helpful to draw out the lewis structures for each of the compounds. For the ones inside the bracket, they are connected to each other. Som...

Ferrate was used at least by my TA when dealing with Iron. It is because it's the latin "ferra" and then the "-ate" at the end of the ion. I don't think it matters, but since -ferr was being used by my TA (and the UA in your case) I am assuming that is what is recommended.

Since there are 6 total electron groups, 5 outer atoms, and 1 lone pair, it should be categorized as a square pyramidal. As mentioned above, there is a very helpful diagram that helps to figure out each and every shape.

For each molecule, specify the polarity of the bonds and the overall polarity of the molecule.
Molecules: BeCl2 and H2O

Hi Idella! The problem said that the wavelength was 9.33x10^-4 cm so you have to convert it to meters before plugging it into the E=hc/wavelength. In meters, the wavelength would be 9.33x10^-6.
