You need a 50% (200/400) to pass with a C-, however, if you're doing P/NP grading, keep in mind that a C- is considered a no pass, so you'll need to get at least a 73% for a C in this class to get a pass.

Re: More modules
I definitely agree. They've been super helpful, especially with the post-assessment questions. During one of his office hours, he said that creating these audio-visual modules are quite time-consuming for him, so we might not see any new ones posted soon. Nonetheless, I hope he continues to make the...

Re: Midterm monitoring
I also believe that monitoring during the midterm will be up to your TA. I think they'll be going over the midterm and how the setup will work in more detail this week during our practice quiz with respondus and our external webcams.

Re: iPad vs Paper notes
I love taking notes on my iPad with Goodnotes. It's much neater and more organized compared to having to file away a bunch of paper and notebooks. You can easily adjust and customize your notes, and incorporating pictures and diagrams into your notes is so nice. For chem, it's been great as I can wa...

Re: How do you study?
Hi! Being a freshman as well, I'm having a bit of trouble trying to balance the workload of my classes while staying at home. I've found that planning my days and scheduling time blocks where I'll work on homework or study a specific topic I'm struggling on (through reviewing my notes, rewatching le...

I believe so, but the fundamental questions from our textbook are supposed to be the most similar to questions on our exams and midterms from what I've been told.

Re: Sapling Homework Week 1 Q10
Hey Jalyn! So you are on the right track with converting to the moles of the 2-butanone. You use the mole ratio of 2-butanone to 3-methyl-3-hexanone and the molar mass of the product, which is C7H16O, to obtain the grams of your product. This will give you your theoretical yield. Divide the given a...

Re: Taking Notes on Textbook Readings
Like everyone else has stated, it's not required of you to take notes from the textbook readings. I too prefer to simply read the textbook as opposed to writing notes from the text directly, as most of the content is already covered in lecture. Unless there is an explanation or example from the text...
