But if I have 6.001x10^-7 and I multiply that by 10^-10 on my calculator, I get 6.001x10^-17 when the answer should be 6001 angstroms I think. Any ideas? I think generally covalent bonds are stronger. Take salt and water for example, NaCl, an ionic compound, dissolves in H2O, a covalent compound. You can infer that the ionic bonds in NaCl were weak enough to break in an aqueous solution.
