I find it easier to stay motivated if I allow myself to take a break when I want one. Also, I ask my family to make sure they remind me to go back to my work if I've been hanging around too much haha.

Hi! So for this problem, you add up the bond lengths of each resonance structure (based on the lengths they give you) and divide by the amount of bonds, which is 4 for all of them. The answer is which structure's average bond length is closest to 144.

It's hard for me to control any anxiety I get before a test, but if I start feeling anxious while taking a test, I just leave the problem(s) that are giving me trouble and do the ones I know. Usually it gives me more confidence to go back and solve the other ones, or at least look at them in a calm ...

Hi! To solve this I first converted the wavelength from μm to m by multiplying 1.7 by 10^-6. Then, you can solve for v by using the equation v=h/mλ. Plug in the given mass, wavelength and Planck's constant, and then use the calculated velocity to find the KE using E=0.5mv^2.

I've tried to just eyeball it by going through the equation, but what works best for me is listing out how many of each atom are on both sides of the equation, and then doing the math and plugging the coefficients back in.

In order to solve this, you should first convert the CuNO3 to moles using the molar mass. Then plug your value into the formula V=M/n to get the volume in L, and convert that into mL.

By looking at how many bonds are between the atoms, you can determine which atoms are Carbon, Oxygen, or Hydrogen. From there, you can count how many of each atom are in the structure, and find the molar mass.

"d" is density, which means mass/volume. an easy way to remember it is the acronym "dmv."
