Re: grade worries
is anyone else worried about how they'll do on midterm 2. I didn't do so well on the first midterm so im a little worried. Yes, definitely. This first midterm was rough, and the second midterm was tough too--but if you aren't feeling comfortable with your current footing in the course right now you...

Re: Class grade
To change the grading type, you click on the "Classes" tab on myUCLA. Then under "Enrollment Actions", there's an option called "Change Grade Type"--that's where you change classes to p/np. Hope this helps!

Re: Test Anxiety
For this midterm, I am trying not to really think about it--I just study the textbook and HW problems and try to create a mental block around the test lol. Studying while thinking about the actual test gives me sm anxiety and screws with my studying as the days get closer to the test.

Re: Favorite TV shows
I usually come across a lot of shows through Tiktok, since almost every ad I get Is for a show premiere--but currently I'm watching this show that's like a Hulu/FX production called A Teacher. There's only 3 episodes out now and they're only like 25min each. It's very wild.

The Mandalorian season two just started, so that's a good watch!! If you have AppleTV I would highly suggest watching Servant or SEE both are amazing shows--and I just recently decided to get a HBO Max subscription to watch this show called We Are Who We Are, which is based in Italy on an American m...

Re: Test Anxiety
Honestly, I get really tensed up prior to a test and can't decide whether or not I want to study the morning of--which I usually end up doing--but what I would suggest is freeing your mind at least an hour prior to the test. I do this by going on YouTube or Tiktok and just forgetting about everything.

Re: Favorite TV shows
I just finished Grand Army on Netflix and let me tell you, it was underwhelming at times, but it was good! It's like better than 13 Reasons Why, but not as good as Euphoria. Im also watching this murder mystery with Nicole Kidman on HBO Max called The Undoing, and it's immaculate.

Oop, this is kinda late, but my sibling and I got dressed in our halloween looks and then took photos in our front yard. After taking photos we changed out of our costumes, and watched movies and had dinner. Hope everyone else had fun and stayed safe!!

I was wondering if anyone knew if any of the questions from Midterm 1 were going to be discounted or if our score now is the permanent score.

Re: Studying Tips
For me, going through the textbook questions while simultaneously reviewing homework problems works best. It's good to get a head start too, that way you can attend Drop In sessions for any questions that may arise.

I was wondering if anyone knows if the questions get released with the test scores--or do we just get our scores back and don't get to see the test again?

Yes, I would definitely suggest doing something, other than studying, the hour prior to the exam (midterm or final). Something to put your mind at ease, like going on TikTok for a bit.
