it could be used to calculate the ion potential difference across cell membrane so we know which way the ions would flow and whether it would be possible to trigger an action potential.

the entropy of the system will increase when the amount of motion within the system increases therefore S gas>S liquid> S solid. So solid to liquid will have positive changes in entropy, and liquid to solid will have negative changes in entropy

Sapling homework with links posted on CCLE is mandatory, and they have specific deadlines. The grading is based on completion, not accuracy.
The practice problems listed in the syllabus under each topic are not mandatory.

since we're able to know the shape of the molecule by looking at the lewis structure it's possible to infer the polarity. But ultimately, numerical values of electronegativity would provide the most precise information regarding polarity

I feel like the second midterm is more difficult than the first one. I wasn't really worried about the first exam since I'm cool with calculation questions. I feel like the second midterm is more memorization oriented and I couldn't really find an efficient way to master it.

Might be helpful to set up a studying space at home. You could try rearrange furnitures and create a space that you are not usually used to.

If the principal quantum number ( n ) is the same, electrons located in p orbitals are going to be located closer to the nucleus and thus having a bigger shielding effect.

It seems like "j" is being skipped because some languages don't differentiate between the letters "i" and "j".

I watched the lectures and make notes first, then jump into the homework; if I don't understand something, I use hints and search on the chemistry community or just the Internet. And finally, go to the textbook.

I would assume an A is the standard 90%, which is 450 points. If you're asking about a 4.0 (A and A+), that's usually cut off at 93% or 465 points. Does anyone know why our class uses this grading system? It seems like it works the same way as the 0-100 system but at a larger scale of points. Don't...

Upon reading the comments, I took out the instruction manual of my scientific calculator and realized it has forty built-in scientific constants and does SI conversion.....and there I was, typing stuffs wrong.
