Oxygen double bonded to something or single bonded to two other atoms has a 0 formal charge, whereas a single bonded to one atom oxygen has a -1 formal charge.

I keep in my mind that strong acids are:
HCl, HBr, and HI + oxoacids that have the number of O - number of H = or > than 2

strong bases are bases that have the cation from the IA and IIA groups.

I would say it is risky to think like that. For example, Acetic acid, CH3COOH, at first seems to have an OH, in the end, however, this OH is a part of carboxyl, COOH a functional organic group that gives the molecule an acidic characteristic.

Hi. The ml quantum number shows the orientation of an orbital. It can be referred to as orbitals. The ml value of an electron can be a number from -l to +l. For example, if l=1, the ml values can be -1, 0 and +1.

As As you go down the periods, the number of shells increases. Therefore, you get electrons further from the nucleus, so the radius also increases.

Hi!

B is incorrect because l = 0. ml value is given by +l to -l. For example, if l = 1, then ml = -1,0,+1. Once l = 0 in b, ml can only be = 0.

you can actually fill all of them up and then down or all of them down first; there isn't a rule on which you have to do first. Also, yes, +1/2 is up, and -1/2 is down

Hi. When we say that intensity is related to amplitude we are thinking of light as a wave. On the other hand, when intensity means density of photons we are thinking of it as having particles' properties. Hope it helps!!

So v in the E=hv equation does not mean velocity. It means frequency. They are never interchangeable. v in this question is not v from velocity. It's the Greek letter v (pronounced nu) which also means frequency. Be careful!!

The series (Balmer, Lyman etc) show the lights emitted when an electron goes from a X energy level to n1. The n1 will depend on the series we are talking about.

Lyman: n1 = 1
