For this problem we have to balance the equation provided prior to completing a and b. In doing so, we get a balanced equation and then we can solve a and b by implementing the information from the balanced equation. We must also find what Li x 3 + ( N) = g Li3N

Does anyone have any tips or tricks on how to balance equations quicker? I am able to balance the equations but notice that it takes me quite some time to balance them out, especially the more difficult ones.

I understand that we are multiplying the g of aqueous solution by the percent of K2NO3. Why do we not multiply the g of aqueous solution by the total mass of K2NO3 using the periodic table?

How do I cross cancel the given 1.0 mol Ag atoms? I know that I have Avogadro’s number over 1.0 mol Ag but do not know how to cancel the bottom portion to continue.

I have not taken chemistry in three years. I have found youtube to be really helpful as well as Professor Lavelle's Audio Visual Focus - Topics. I would highly recommend you look into AAP PLF tutoring. They provide you with extra practice problems besides the problems that we review in Discussion.
