I dont understand how you get .0257V without a temperature given. If it was at 25 degrees C, then we could make it the .0592 value, but how does it get .0257? :(

if you see ka=____ you know you have a weak acid. If they give you a kb, you have a weak base. It's just a little trick ;)

Electron Configuration with Hybridization

Hi, I'm having a lot of trouble with figuring out configuration using the sigma and pi configuration. I looked at the table and I know how to determine if something is, say, sp3 or sp or sp2 or something, but I get really confused when we have to write out the entire notation. Can someone explain it...

Hey there,
from what I understand, you want to count regions of electron density, not necessarily the type of bond. A single, double, or even a triple bond between atoms is going to be considered one going of electron density. So, I would say it's sp2.

Question: How is the electron configuration of Cu + =[Ar]d 10 ? I wrote [Ar]3d 9 ,4s 2 because Cu has 9 valence electrons. If it's giving away 1 electron, it would be taken away from 4s 2 , right? But that would still leave 4s 1 . So, does the 1 just transfer into the d and make it 10? Is Cu and ex...
